About

Hi, I’m Allie.

With over 12 years of experience as a psychotherapist, my greatest privilege is helping my clients discover their best selves. I want to help you live more in the moment, to make decisions confidently, to heal emotionally, and to thrive in your life, not just keep your head above water. Together we’ll work on identifying thoughts, patterns, and behaviors that aren’t serving you at the moment. We’ll create meaning where you’re feeling unsatisfied and find ways to communicate with the important people in your life so your needs can be met.

In addition to being a therapist, I am also a mom, spouse, daughter, sibling, and friend. I know just how hard it is to simultaneously wear all of those hats while also trying to prioritize self-care. I’m right there with you, present and transparent. Whether you are dealing with a temporary problem or want to engage in longer term work on more complex issues, I can help. I believe that everyone has the potential for satisfaction and fulfillment in life, and I would love to help you on your pathway to wellness.

Your mental health matters. You deserve to have the time, space, and support to focus on you.

When I’m not seeing clients, I enjoy being in nature, exercising, skiing, curling up with a good book, spending time with friends & family, and embracing the chaos of life with my husband and 3 sons.

My Therapeutic Approach

I firmly believe you are in the drivers seat of your life and your treatment. My approach is integrative, holistic, and tailored to meet your individual needs and goals.  In my practice, I draw on a number of evidence-based therapeutic modalities. These include mindfulness-based approaches, trauma informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), positive psychology, and solution-focused therapy. I strongly believe in the mind-body connection, which is why I love walk-&-talk therapy and encourage all of my clients to find a form of daily movement that makes them feel nourished. During our sessions, you can expect me to be active and engaged, and to build on your strengths and experiences. I’ll support you through the tough stuff and not shy away from difficult questions. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, non-judgmental space to help you realize your best self.

Women-Centered Therapy

Being a woman today can present unique challenges. The term “women’s issues” can be applied to a wide range of concerns specific to women that include reproductive health issues & illnesses, post-partum depression, sexual assault, body image, self-esteem, sexuality, discrimination, or stereotyping. And while many mental health concerns are not gender specific, women may experience these issues differently at times because of social, cultural, or biological influences. While much of my work is female-centered, I have experience working with all genders so please don’t hesitate to reach out if my approach resonates with you!
